I provide in person and online telehealth therapy for individuals 18 and older as well as couples.
In-person Therapy: 707 W. 34th St. Austin Texas 78705
Walk and Talks: When the weather is nice, I give clients that option to have counseling while strolling through a nearby neighborhood or trail. The benefits of spending time in nature are well-documented. For some people, walking side by side can be less stressful than face to face counseling. Walking side by side fosters a unique dynamic, akin to "parallel play," where individuals maintain a forward gaze while remaining deeply connected through meaningful exchanges.

Couples & Relationship Therapy: My particular expertise lies in assisting couples who have encountered an impasse in their relationship, seeking to unlock a deeper understanding and transformation of their entrenched relational patterns. This often involves delving into unmet childhood needs and exploring each partner's individual relational and family histories to shed light on the root causes of current struggles. It also involves gaining an understanding of your individual and shared somatic or nervous systems’ response to intimacy and struggle. I firmly believe that this kind of work has the most profound and lasting impact, but it also demands a joint commitment of time and effort. My clients typically come prepared to engage fully in the process, both during our sessions and in the work they do between sessions.

My counseling style is characterized by directness and compassion, offering a balance of challenge and support. In our initial sessions, I'll provide honest reflections on the ways in which you interact with your partner. The changes I aim for are not superficial but rather transformative, aimed at revitalizing your relationship at its core. Alongside longer-term couple therapy, I also provide time-limited interventions to address specific conflicts or offer pre-marital/pre-commitment counseling to help couples establish a solid foundation for their journey together. Together, we can address a wide range of common issues that couples face, such as feeling stuck, perpetual problems, conflict avoidance, feelings of being unheard or unloved, and more. Whether you're looking for a tune-up during life transitions or seeking to build a resilient bond, I'm here to support you on your journey to a healthier and more satisfying relationship.
Somatic Process Group Therapy: Exploring Connection through the Body
Group therapy offers a powerful path of self-discovery and growth through our connections with others. It acts as a mirror to real-life relationships—reflecting our inner thoughts and emotions, our patterns with others, and even the cultural dynamics we carry.

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to lose touch with the wisdom of the body. Unlike traditional talk therapy, this group places the body at the center of healing. Our breath, heart rhythms, and sensory awareness often reveal truths that words alone cannot, guiding us toward more authentic presence and connection.

Drawing on the principles of Somatic Experiencing, this group invites members to notice the sensations, emotions, images, and movements that arise in real time. Together, we’ll practice regulating emotions, staying present, and offering empathic witnessing. Over time, these practices can deepen bonds and support the growth of healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

This group is for you if you’re curious about somatic therapy and want to deepen your relationships while building on the work you’re doing—or have done—in individual therapy. No prior group experience is needed.
